Wigs & Waffles Drag Brunch — Los Angeles, California

Wigs & Waffles Drag Brunch is a drag brunch in Los Angeles, California. The event takes place the first and third Saturday of every month at 12pm. This is the perfect opportunity to see some of LA’s best queens while stuffing your face with waffles!
The first Saturday you’ll be treated to an all-you-can eat buffet that includes: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, potatoes o’brien, plus more sides like breakfast meatloafs and biscuits or gravy. After being stuffed full of delicious food you can enjoy performances by some of LA’s most talented queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 4!

Friday Night Divas — Anchorage, Alaska

It’s Friday night and you’re looking for a place to go. You could stay in and watch Netflix, or you could get your gay on with the gays! There’s no shortage of places to drink, dance, play games, or just chill out with friends. Here are some of the best places in NYC Village that will have you feeling like a diva in no time at all.

There’s an Anchorage bar that has been popular among locals since it opened its doors earlier this year. It boasts two floors packed with TVs tuned into sports channels and a full-service restaurant upstairs serving up fresh seafood favorites. Stop by their weekly drag show every Sunday for an evening filled with performances from local drag legends such as Sasha Velour.

Bushwig — Maspeth, New York

Bushwig is a nightlife event that celebrates queer people of color in the New York City area. It takes place annually on the last weekend of July at Maspeth, New York. This year marks Bushwig’s 13th annual celebration. The festival includes live performances, DJs, and drag queens from all over NYC and will be hosted by TV personality/model VivvyAnne ForeverMORE!
Bushwig aims to create an inclusive space for individuals who are underrepresented or marginalized within LGBTQ+ communities through music, performance, and art. The festival also features vendors with clothing, accessories, and other items related to queer culture for purchase.

Hamburger Mary’s Down-Low Bingo Show — Denver, Colorado

Hamburger Mary’s is the spot for down-low bingo, drag show and all out queer revelry. This Denver establishment has been a destination for gay people in Colorado since 1973. With two bars, three dance floors and six different themed rooms to explore, you can find your own space at Hamburger Mary’s. The club is open seven days a week with live entertainment every night of the week from 9pm – 4am! It also has one of America’s longest running drag shows that features hula hoop performances on Friday nights! Hamburger Mary’s showcases some of the best talent in Denver including performers from RuPaul’s Drag Race like Adore Delano and Sharon Needles.

Alcatraz Island

Alcatraz Island is a popular tourist destination. It’s located in San Francisco Bay, off the coast of California. Alcatraz Island is an island prison which was operational from 1934 to 1963 and has served as a national landmark since 1976. The island offers tours that provide an up-close view of the living quarters of the Alcatraz inmates and guards who lived on the island during its time as a federal penitentiary, including D-Block, where most prisoners were held until they were transferred to other prisons or released.
Alcatraz Island is also home to some resident animals such as coyotes, deer mice, crows, gulls and rabbits; all but one species are found nowhere else in the world!

New York City Pride

New York City Pride is an event that takes place in NYC every summer. It celebrates the LGBTQ community and culture, and its history of resistance to discrimination. The first pride parade took place on June 28th, 1970 as a protest march against police violence towards the gay community. Nowadays, it’s known for being one of the largest parades in New York City with over 800 thousand people attending each year. We picked some of our favorite places to visit while you’re there!

Pride Toronto

Toronto’s Pride Parade is one of the best in North America and it happens every June. Toronto has a long history with LGBTQ rights, being home to Canada’s first gay bookstore, Gay House coffee shop and bathhouse. The parade starts at Church Street and Bloor Street East before heading down Yonge Street and finally ending at Nathan Phillips Square.
If you want to attend the parade make sure you arrive early because this event is always very popular! It is well worth attending as it celebrates love for all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. You also can’t beat the stunning view from atop of One King West Centre overlooking Queen’s Park where we are located!

Christopher Streeet Day

Christopher Street Day is a day of celebration for the LGBT community. The event takes place in New York City’s famous Village District, and it’s been happening every year since 1972. Christopher Street Day has something for everyone with live entertainment, food trucks, art exhibitions, and more! Celebrate your summer by joining this lively festival on Sunday May 27th from noon to 6pm at the intersection of Christopher Street and 7th Ave South (near Sheridan Square).
The last few years have seen an increase in popularity among gay travellers as destinations strive to be inclusive spaces where same-sex couples can enjoy their honeymoon or just visit without fear of persecution.

After the death of his father, George Cunard became a director at the family’s shipping company. He was only 19 years old and had to take care of his mother and sister as well. There is so much to love about Waikiki. In Hawaiian the word means swampland. Yes, it’s true Waikiki was once a swamp. A little over a mile away is a volcano that isn’t active called Diamond Head. It’s a mono-volcano because it only erupted once which was how the island was formed, to begin with. It’s not an easy hike. Due to how strenuous the hike is the trail is rated a double black diamond.

The International Market used to be a great place for little souvenir shops and Hawaiian clothing but it has been upgraded. Now that area is full of high-end retailers. Think of a high-end retailer and it’s probably located there or across the street at the Royal Hawaiian. People from all over the world come here to shop because of the low sales tax.

Another great feature of the beach is the calm long slow steady waves. They sing 24 hours a day but are great for surfing because it’s easy for novice surfers to catch a wave. It’s a great place for tourists to learn how to surf and it’s also great for sailing. The island itself has over 100 miles of sandy beaches so there is a lot to offer especially North Shore or the ranch where Jurassic Park was filmed.

A few famous spots for food are assisted by a few high end local restaurants and some high end corporate classics like Cheese Cake Factory, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Tommy Bahamas, and Yard House. Then local places like Tanaka of Tokyo, Tikis, and Dukes. And on top of that the Hawaiian classics like Rainbow Drive In, Leonard Bakery, and Teddy’s Burgers. Be sure to get a hawaiian burger with pineapple.
